Welcome to your October Newsletter

Dear Islington Resident,

Sharing latest news and updates from Age UK Islington and other Islington services!

International Day of Older Persons

It's International Day of Older Persons on 1st October. To mark the occasion, we'd like to share our new Get Together newsletter. It's in a handy printable format, with all our weekly, monthly and special, one-off events for October and November in one place.

Feel free to pass on the newsletter others, particularly an older person or anyone who you know who is not on email.

Invite to take part in the Autumn Intergenerational Event

The next Intergenerational event is on Sunday 5th November at the Ecology Centre, Gillespie Park (run by Bright Start and Age UK Islington). We will be bringing together the generations around the theme of 'Lost Words' in nature, inspired by the amazing book by Robert McFarlane.

We'd like to invite you to share 'A favourite moment with nature when you were a child' with the younger attendees at the event. It need only be for a couple of minutes (or more, as you'd like!) Please email us on activities@ageukislington.org.uk if you'd like to part.

For those who would just like to attend, we'll send further details about the event and how to book very soon.
