Let's Talk Budgeting Wednesday 30 Nov, 10.30 -11.30am LIFT Islington, 45 White Lion Street, N1 We're also planning a free 'Let's Talk Budgeting' Workshop at LIFT Islington (near Angel tube) on 30th. This will share hands-on practical ways that you can use to keep track of the money coming in and the money going out, to help you feel more in control. There will be refreshments and information about further Cost of Living Support that's available.
Finding inspiration to cook! Good nutrition is a key way to keep your body and mind healthy as well as helping fight and prevent illness. Sometimes though, it can be hard to find the motivation to cook healthy food from scratch.
Tying in with Nutritiion Awareness Month & Diabetes Awareness Month, Islington community member, David, talks about how he finds inspiration to cook for one and keep diabetes at bay by focusing on simple, comfort food. Why not try his recipe for red lentil soup? We'd love to hear your recipes too!
FREE British Red Cross First Aid Training (via Zoom) Tuesday 15, 1.30 - 3pm & Thursday 17, 11am - 12.30pm Are you interested in learning essential, life-saving first aid skills to help in an emergency? If so, our first aid workshop might be for you. These are interactive workshops, run by experienced British Red Cross educators, that build your confidence to help someone in a first aid emergency, using everyday objects around you.

'Agatha Christie's London' Talk, Thurs 10 Nov 11am-12 Online via Zoom Join Tina Hodgkinson, long-time Agatha Christie fan, for this special illustrated online talk that follows in Agatha’s footsteps around London. It will 'visit' her former homes, and fashionable restaurants, luxury hotels and other locations that she and her characters frequented. London had a special place in Agatha’s heart, dating back to childhood, when she would go there to visit family.
Painting Appreciation Special Edition with Saatchi Gallery Tuesday 22nd November, 11 - 12noon (Zoom) Due to popular demand, Florence Goodhand-Tait, Head of Learning from Saatchi Gallery, is coming back in November as guest speaker in Painting Appreciation. Among other things, Florence will be providing an insight into their exhibition 'The New Black Vanguard'.
Regular Get Togethers: Park Theatre & Breakfast Club 'Take Five' Minutes to Reduce Scams Take Five is a national campaign that offers straight-forward advice to help everyone protect themselves from scams. This includes scams by email and by phone as well as online fraud – particularly where criminals pretend that they are a trusted organisation. You can find lots of useful materials on their website.
