Welcome to your July Newsletter Sharing the latest guides, activities and resources from Age UK Islington and other local organisations. From July Islington street festivals to South Asian Heritage month and speciality exercise classes, there's some wonderful activities and events coming up that you might want to know about! Don't forget your photo ID when you vote at the UK-wide General Election on Thursday 4 July. Have you started to feel like you could do with a little extra help at home? Maybe you could use a hand with the housework, gardening or shopping? Or perhaps you’re finding it harder to move around your house, or with things like bathing, showering or getting dressed.
Whether you are getting older, have a health condition or disability, it can sometimes be hard to ask for help. However, there is support available and we have put together an article, including useful contacts, links to useful guides and details of how Age UK Islington can help. Even if you are managing fine, it can be useful to know what the options are - either to prepare for a possible need in the future or in case someone you know is in need of support.
